The Ring : The Fortress

The inspiration of the ring is from the pattern of the branches and coral, which made the whole shape look like a fortress when the bullion had been soldered.

When Kitty + Alien

I picked “The Alien” to mix with hello kitty, in order to let the kitty to have the kind of strong feeling which the original one don’t have. I chose aluminum foil to cover the whole body, so that the silver color will make the kitty looks just like the things from outer space. Plastic spoons are the material which I sought to be the most useful things on this project, from eyes. claws to tongue. And my favorite part is the tail, the clasps on it made it more vivid.

To Kill Two Birds With One Stone( My version )

This is a story referring about how direful can a woman be when it comes to talking about money. The woman in the picture Paris is the dame of Guam Hilton Hotel, while the man in the picture is Paris’s handsome lover Mark. One day, Paris reserved two rooms in Guam Hilton Hotel, and went into one of the rooms with Mark. After an amazing night, Mark began to threaten the dame for money or he’ll tell her husband about her unfaithfulness. Paris was shocked at first, but seen she had an idea. She baited him to drink the wine which had already put some sleeping pills. After Mark slept, she took away all the things in the room except a sheet, and set fire in the room. When Mark was waked up by fire, he had no choice but using the sheet as a parachute. The dame was in the next room and watched him falling down from 99th floor. However, Paris’s husband was in the car which was just below the falling man. In the end, both of them were dead, and Paris gets all the fortune. And that was what we called ‘‘To kill two birds with one stone”. And this story also tells us that don’t trying to take money from the dame of hotel. Because you’ll never know what might happen next.

My PDA

In my opinion, I think the normal PDA is nice.
But it looks just a little too boring.
So why not trying something different ?

The peony broach

The flower is not only a normal broach, it has magnet inside it. So you don’t have to worry the small hole on your clothe that will cause by the stickpin. And there are no limitations on where you put it, just trust the magnetic force.

Testing the Polly

In order to conversant with the character of Polly, I tried different container to make the model. And I found out that some plastic vessels will melt because of the heat, but the heat also turn the color of the leaf into gold. Right now, I’m still trying to make one without bubbles.

How to make a Turkish coffee

I found a book that said something about how to make a Turkish coffee. First you need to pour three small cups of water into the special coffeepot called a jezue. Heat the water until it boils. Then remove the pot from the heat. Add three spoons of coffee and sugar to the water. Gently stir the mixture and return it to the heat until you can see foam on the top. After that, Take the jezue from the heat and hit it lightly with a spoon to make the foam go down. Reheat the coffee and tap the pot two more times, making sure to remove it from the heat each time the foam forms. Give everyone a small glass of cold water to drink with their hot, thick coffee.

I think the step is a little bit complicated; the coffee needs to be reheated again and again. And usually it's hard for people to find the special pot called jezue. In order to make the foam go down, removing the pot from the heat is troublesome. But it sounds interesting to have the kind of coffee like this, as long as it had been prepared by others.

From 2D to 3D : The Burning Cape

I think if the pattern of the cape were not that flat, it will look more alive. After the planning had finally completed, it was the exact feeling that I wanted. The reason why I picked the color red is all about exaggerating, and it makes the cape more intensive. The person who put this cape on will definitely looks fantastic, as if wearing a burning fire.

An amusing theory

An amusing theory came up in my mind these days .We all know that a lot of people describe the globe as a small village . So I won't be too surprise if I ran into a friend that I haven't met for a long time .And that comes the question . What will I react at that moment ? Will I just say hello , or I’ll pretend we don't know each other at all and just walk away. I hope I can be a person who is not a afraid of talking to someone I know but also people I don't know at all . And I'm glad that I have figure out this for quite awhile . Because in this society which is full of people , we really need to stand out from the crowd .

From 2D to 3D : The ear ring stand

This is the stand which you can hang your ear rings on it. So next time you don’t have to worry about where your ear rings are. And the shape comes from the plum blossom, which is the national flower of Taiwan.

The Circus

There was a news about a well known curius, and that reminds me something. Actually , I was once a person which is not very fond of going to the circus . One of the reason was that , I hate clowns . I just couldn't get it why would someone like those strange ugly faces . However , I had changed all my impression on circus after I went to a fantastic show in China two years ago . The show was held in a charming small theatre . When the traditional Chinese music flowed through the stage and got into my ears . Behind the red curtain stood two person wearing costumes which look just like birds . Nevertheless , their foot where not on the stage , but on a rope . There was no wire sling hanging them , and they started to dance on it . My heartbeat were nearly stop , because several times the two bird man pretended that they were going to fall from the rope . Yet the thing I had just mentioned is noting special if you see the most exciting part of the show . There was four men driving motorcycles in a giant round cage . Their speed was so fast that the wind blew all over the theatre . And if they fail they will really get hurt , even lose their lives . The audience were all wondered at it . But at that time , I was touched by those performers on the stage . Can you imagining that how long they have been practiced to do something so dangerous , they must had suffer a lot before they started to perform on the stage . The show at that night was so amazing , and there is still a exclamation mark deep in my heart ...

From 2D to 3D : Something New

After seeing some samples of laser cut, an idea just came out from my head. I think the beauty of it should not be wasted, so the ear ring idea had started on. I chose the transparent acrylic to make it look just like the feeling of crystal. And the result was really nice.

Make myself "BIG"?

When someone asked me what do you want to do when you grow up , I'll said " To be an adult . " As I grewn older , I began to changed my mind from one to another . Maybe because of the reality and the society exert a profound influence on me . Like the boy in that movie , he was innocent at first . But in the end he became mature as the same as his body . Growing up is not a bad thing , however , people just think too much . And I'm doing the same , worrying too much about the future . Still the world is spinning , and my heart is still beating . I think I'll just need more time to make myself and my heart " BIG ".

Card Slave

When it comes to talking about card slave, we can find out that people have quite different ideas about it. Some think that it is just a little problem which happened in the society, while others view it as a sign of another Depression. In my opinion, I think this have many reasons behind it. The first thing is the value differences from one generation to another. Can you imagine that 30 years ago people think earning 5 dollars is not that easy. But look at the world right now, it takes more than 15 dollars just to take a bus. Because of this, young people don’t view money as the elders do. Another reason is the using of card. You can see that there are so many commercials, which makes people’s desire to trap people in a hole which has no limitations at all. But the problem is that people don’t actually have that much money. So that’s why we can see a lot of news about card slaves on TV. To solve the problem, I think people should stop daydreaming about the material world, which the bank really should have the limitation of issuing credit cards. In that way, the newspaper will have somethingmore interesting than “Card Slave” to report.

Books...

I found out that recently there’s a book called “The memory keeper’s daughter”. The book is really great, and I’m still reading it. And this make me think of something which had happened in my early childhood . My parents took me to a book exhibition near the location of Taipei 101 , and of course the 101 was not exist yet . There were so many novel , magazines and comics while the atmosphere was great , too . Suddenly , I saw a bright light which attracted my attention . It was a book that reflected the light into my eyes , and it was called " Charlotte's Web ." Because of the delicate pictures and the interesting title .I told my mother that I want to buy that book , and she agreed . From than on , I started to read a wide range of books . I think books can not only open our horizon , but also pass down the knowledge river from generation to generation . And I hope I can keep it float until the day I die .

Winning

If you are still a student , attending a athletic meeting is not surprising . Since you have to join it every year . And one of the highlights is relay race , because it is the event that all members from a class have to participate in . In order to get the glory trophy on the stage in front of the whole school , nearly every class had a training course just for the competition . And our class is no exception , too . I still remember what had happened last year when I was in senior high school . It was a nice sunny day . And my heart beats faster at the sight of the fierce moment of the race . But suddenly , one of my classmates fell down and hurt his ankle . However , he ignored the pain and ran toward the terminal . Even we knew we won't win the race , we were still happy and hail as loud as we could . Because the race is about the process not the finish line .

From 2D to 3D : Material for cutting

To find the right material , me and my classmate went to the UON LO market. The market was famous by their cloths, you can find nearly any cloth that you want. After finding the leather I want from the market, I decided to laser cut some just to know how it might look like. So I cut a tie, and the result was quite nice. So I started to draw the pattern which will be on the cape.

From 2D to 3D : Testing

I started to make the first paper model. And I choose the peony to be the kind flower that I want, because of the layers and layers of petals. And peony means the king of the flower in Chinese, and it’s also the symbol of beauty. The feeling I want is to make as if the flower is grown from the object that you put on. There will be some pattern on each petal, just like the model in the photo. Since the basic shape was already settled. I tried to use different material to make the shape that I want, I have used ribbon, sheer and even tissue. However, it turned out that it was quite far I’d expected. So I think it’s about time for me to find something that can really work.

From 2D to 3D ?

When the time that I heard the project “to turn paper cutting from 2D to 3D”. The first thing in my mind is to make a candle can. I tried to draw different shapes just to find the perfect look that I wanted. However, another problem came into my mind. I know the pattern will really look great on the can, but in that way the pattern can only shows the beauty in one way. The side that towards us. Why not using something soft that can emerge the whole good things of paper cutting? In the end of the brain storming, I had drawn some sketches. The thing that I decided to do is to make a flower make of clothe that can put anywhere you want from belt to headwear.I even changed a picture on one of my favorite singer Elva, in order to show what it might look like. And I also do a little paper cutting of my own, because it was some of my ideas that combined together. It was a card, and the pattern on it shows one of the stories about a appearance of the son moon lake which is located in the middle of Taiwan.

COOPERATION

In this kind of society right now , the word cooperation seems not too hard to find . You can see it in a myth . a book or maybe from a movie you had sawn days ago . But how in the world can we still see many events in the news which are lack of cooperation . In my childhood , I have read a book talking about two groups of people got lost in a rain forest . However , only one group survived in the end . Because they realize the importance of working together . They knew they have to hold their hands together in order to cross the river . They also have to understand that cooperate is the only way to let they get out the forest . And that was the reason why they lived instead of being buried in the forest just like another group . Selfish is not a crime , but sometimes it can be deadly , too . Now here's the question . What do you want ? Heaven or Hell ? It's all up to you

WHAT I LIKE

I have a weakness to everything that connect to brainstorming , and detective stories are one of them . Heard of the famous Sherlock Holmes , I was once so fond of it that I bought every volume of it . But nothing can make me more crazy about the Japen animation cartoon " Ke Na " , I think it is the best animated drawing that since the existence cartoon . And it's animated film is aways the blockbuster . The reason why I love Ke Na is that the characters in it seems so real . Although it is a fictitious character , but sometimes the defect of fabricate is better than reality .

PIZZA = DELICIOUS

The reason why I wrote this essay is that today I found there was a paper on the floor. It’s a pizza flyer, and the pizza in the picture made me starving. So, I thought “ Why not write something about pizza ?”

I know some people are not so fond of pizza. But I just enjoy having it, not just because it is fun to eat, also it has so many flavors to choose from. And most importantly, it’s delicious. My family like pizza because it’s inexpensive and quick to order, and it is convenient to carry the whole meal from pizza stores. With so many advantages, no one needs to resist the allure of one of the most popular food. Wait a second, why don’t have pizza for dinner tonight ?

WHAT I WANT TO SAY

My nerves are on edge due to the tough project this week . Well , you know what I mean . So I had canceled my water painting schedule which I was planning for tonight after the history class . It was really tiring , but another reason is that I don’t have the kind of pigment that I want to use . And the only book store in our campus don’t have those kind of things , even a nice brush for painting . You can never imaging when you press your brush on the paper and find out that all you can see is wool .wool and wool . How nice it is when you need to paint a kiwi . However , the thing in front of me was an orange . What a miracle .

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL

I always love to let myself to breath in the air of the other world . It can be a space which is in a book , a song or maybe in a movie . And recently I have found a place which is full of fantasy . Ever heard of a Disney Channel original musical movie called High School Musical ?
It is a story of two high school students: Troy , captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella , a shy transfer student who excels in math and science. Together, they try out for the lead parts in their high school musical. Despite other students' attempts to thwart their dreams, Troy and Gabriella persist and inspire others along the way .
One of the songs in this film which is called “Breaking Free” , I think the lyrics is marvelous and it ‘s the R&B type of song that I’m fond of . It’s says that no matter how hard it is to make our dreams come true , you will when you believe .
